It's difficult to put into words, how to describe the way your music pulls at me. It's so emotional, it's overwhelming. I can hear it speak to my highs and lows. To speak, to convey so much without words, it's a gift. The music you make is absolutely incredible.
WARNING! Isaac Shepard's piano pieces may have serious effects to your health like: Emotional crying from beauty, Soul searching, Subscribing to him, and Liking all of his music. Listen at your own risk.
"Before Dawn" was the first piece of his that I heard and learned how to play, and it made a huge impact in my life. I love piano, I love piano music, and Mr. Shepard does not disappoint. He delivers beautiful, inspiring music, and I'm so glad I got to discover him.
I don't understand how it is possible to use such a short amount of notes and literally open someone's inner soul through a single instrument. But Isaac can clearly do this because the first time I heard this, I was nearly sobbing. It's utter magic.
...I was driving home the day I found out [my grandpa] died, thinking of all the terrible things in the world, especially death, and just cursed everything. Then I turned on my playlist with your pieces on them, pulled over and just bawled my eyes out for a half an hour, thinking how wonderful the world is to have such wonderful music in it.
I have been a metalhead for almost 10 years. I listen to bands like Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and Dimmu Borgir. But none of those bands can recreate the feelings I get when I hear this song. It invokes such deep, meaningful emotion that touches my soul whenever I hear it. Thank you Isaac Shepard, for this magical feeling.
I find it beyond words how you're so capable of gliding through my emotions like water. I've rarely heard music with such a grace and depth; such a story behind each key and note. You're music has inspired me, like it has inspired anyone who has ever listened to a single measure...
If music is the universal language, then [Leaves in the Wind] is the word for "love." This song quite easily puts Isaac in the realm of great classical composers. I'm generally not prone to listen to piano-only songs, but this song is the purest form of joy. The beginning melody (the sound I like to refer to as stair-stepping) is one of those that once you hear, you will never forget it.
Usually i don't listen to piano music, but I was playing this game with your music in it and it touched a place in my heart. I stay listening to it day after day since then, and it is a major part of who I am now. The music that you make is so beautiful, and the first time I heard it I basicly cried. Thank you for making this art that has touched my heart.
I love all different kinds of music, you name it. Isaac Shepard though... He is not just any artist. The sweet sounds of his piano is just the most amazing sound in the world... The colors the sounds make are so calm at and flows so brilliantly together. Just such an incredible album. The best He has put out yet.
listening to [Gentle], it reminds me that no matter what there will always be a point of living.. and hopefuly that we always have someone by our side to charrish and love.. so suave, so smoth, so calm .. it makes me cry tears of joy and sadness.. beautifull!
now... i'm a really big heavy metal fan... but this music... this is what really inspires me... it's amazing how people can come up with such moving music... it's so calm, peaceful, but yet strong and powerful
Somehow your pieces describe the most simple and amazing places and moments in life. There are no words to thank you for filling all those empty days, for turning into smiles what before were sad faces, for giving peace to unendable days of stress and for showing there's still beauty in this world.
[Gentle] is the most beautiful song i have ever heard, even if I'm a rap/rock fan ... It just reminds me of being in Heaven, standing on the clouds, watching the sunset, while this song is playing and echoing everywhere around me... I know i'm saying it again, but this is the most beautiful song ever...
last night i had a dream about [Before Dawn]. i was surrounded by darkness, i couldnt see or hear anything... and then words appeared, "its always darkest before the dawn..." the darkness shattered and i awoke to the clearest, sunniest day ive seen in weeks.
[Leaves in the Wind] is... Amazing. I'm a metal/rock junkie and came across this by chance and it simple made me wanna learn to play piano. It's an amazing,no its a song so magnificant that i cant even describe it.
Hello, Before Dawn is something I can not describe, listining to it makes my entire body fill with emotion, the music you're making is not merely notes from the piano but the escence of beauty, grace, and all that is good in this world, I have been inspired by this and i can only hope to create such beauty in my life, thank you
i love the way you play and the way the notes are played just make me want to cry... your music makes me think of all the good things that have happend to me in my life and its just a wonderfull feeling...
Listening to this guys work has made me wish to play the piano, I put alot of his tuff on my ipod lately, and listen to it and simply drive around on my motorcycle through the country..Makes you think, alot.
It hurts to know that not all people can enjoy this type of music. There's so much hate and killing and anger being spread around this world, but maybe if people sat down and listened... just maybe, things wouldn't be so bad. Just maybe, there would be a little less hate in this world.
At school, I was in my study hall listening to [Gentle] and completely got lost in it. I didn't hear the bell, actually, and almost didn't make it my next class. xD This piece is so pretty and... well, Gentle. I fell in love with it as soon as I listened to it. 🙂 ... This is just one of those songs where I want to close my eyes and just... relax or something.
Ah. [Before Dawn,] this piece (the word song wouldn't do it justice in my opinion) touches emotions in me. It really makes me want to just go out and live. Go out and love. Make something out of nothing. I doubt it's just me, but I love it. :]
[Before Dawn] is one of those songs that appear once and a while that captivate the minds of anyone who listens to it. You could probably play this on loudspeakers in any major city and most people who hear it will stop and listen.
[Before Dawn] is probably my favorite song in the WORLD, now. So much could be told by no lyrics. Issac Sheperd, your song has truly touched my heart. It even made me cry sometimes, and I almost never cry. I will always love this song even after I die. It's so... perfect.
Wow I remember one day on our vacation one day I walked out on the balcony of our hotel and just watched the sun rise over the ocean, While listening to [Before Dawn]... it was so amazing, like it was a dream.
