Simplz: Zoo is now also available for your iPad and iPhone through iTunes. The game was originally released in 2010 as a PC and Mac game. I wrote and performed the soundtrack for this simulation/puzzle game. The music is cutesy, upbeat, and very percussive. Simplz: Zoo was created by the same team at Reflexive Entertainment that brought you Airport Mania.

Piano on Amethyste’s “Tout Est Si Beau”

Earlier this year, I collaborated with ethereal soprano Amethyste to create “Tout Est Si Beau”, a song on her fourth album release, called “Deliverance”, which is now available on iTunes, Amazon, and at many other online retailers.

“Tout Est Si Beau”, also known as “How Fair This Place”, was written by Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943). I did the piano arrangement and performance for this piece, a fitting background to Amethyste’s airy vocals. Amethyste created the French adaption:

Tout est si beau!
(All is beautiful!)
Je vois les feuilles qui dansent avec le vent.
(I see leaves dancing with the wind)
Les fleurs murmurent si doucement
(Flowers, softly whisper)
A propos du beau temps.
(about the joy of life)

Le firmament
(The Firmament)
Dans son Mirage
(within its mirage)
Offre un reflet si bleu.
(Display a reflection that is so blue)
Au ciel,
(to the sky)
Je leve mes paupieres.
(I lift my eyelids)
Mon Dieu!
(My God!)
Tout est si beau!
(All is beautiful!)

Et mon reve se dissipe dans la pluie…
(and my dream fades into the rain)

“Tout Est Si Beau” is only one track of 16 on Amethyste’s ambient “Deliverance” album, so make sure to check out the rest of her album. The album is well over an hour long and is full of different sound textures and Amethyste’s soft voice. I recommend this album to anyone who is looking for meditative, reflective and soul searching music. “Deliverance” creates a soft, hopeful and healing mood that is very much needed in these chaotic times.

Hey, everyone! Thanks for all of your nice comments and support! I appreciate them all.

On the news front, here are some random things that have been going on with my music recently!

Broadjam Top 10: My song “Leaves in the Wind” from my solo piano album Deep Joy has made Broadjam’s Top 10 list for New Age – Neo Classical for the second month in a row.

Airport Mania 2 for Android: The game Airport Mania 2: Wild Trips, which I wrote the soundtrack for, is now also available for Android phones. In fact, it’s been flying high, often soaring into the top 10 charts on Amazon’s Android Appstore for several weeks now.

YouTube Videos: I’ve uploaded a lot of videos of my music to my YouTube channel. They’re nothing fancy… just slide shows with my music in the background; however, many of them show pictures that I haven’t posted here before from the CD inserts of my solo piano albums.
